Soulful Rest

A Self-care circle for mama

A weekly virtual support group space to breathe, reflect, and reclaim you.

Motherhood is nonstop. You give so much to everyone else. This circle is your weekly invitation to pause, pour back into yourself, and be held in community with other Black mothers who understand exactly what that weight feels like.

Why This Space Matters

You Give So Much. This Hour Is Yours.

mental health support for Black moms during pregnancy and postpartum

Black mothers are expected to hold everything together. To show up fully for their children, their families, their communities, and their work, often while running on empty. The permission to rest rarely comes from outside.

“You will leave each session feeling seen, centered, and a little more full than when you came in.”

Soulful Rest was created to give you that permission explicitly and repeatedly. This is not another obligation. It is a genuine pause in a circle of Black women who understand why you needed it.

Whether you are parenting a newborn, a toddler, school-age children, or teenagers, this space holds room for you exactly where you are right now.

What Happens When You Join the Circle

  • Icon of two people with a speech bubble above them, representing conversation or communication.

    Connection with Other Mothers

You will not be the only one figuring this out. Meet women across all trimesters navigating pregnancy with the same complexity, strength, and questions you carry.

  • Outline of a computer monitor with a user icon and a speech bubble indicating online communication or chatting.

Real Talk About the Full Experience

This is not a highlight reel. Expecting Together creates room for the full range: the joy, the fear, the grief, the uncertainty, and everything in between.

  • An illustration of a hand pointing at a gear, connected to three user icons, representing team management or process automation.

Practical Tools for Stress and Self-Care

Every session ends with a tangible takeaway: a grounding technique, a communication strategy, or a self-care practice you can actually use this week.

  • Illustration of a hand holding three abstract human figures representing community or support.

    Support for Navigating Healthcare

Learn how to advocate for yourself in medical settings, recognize red flags, and ask the questions that protect your health and your baby.

  • Line art icon of two people facing each other with hands joined in a cheer or high-five, surrounded by lines suggesting celebration.

Building Your Circle Before Baby Arrives

Prepare your support system now. Leave each session with stronger connections and a clearer sense of what you need from the people around you.

  • A simple line drawing of one person giving a heart to another person.

    Weekly Giveaways

One participant is selected each session to receive a digital gift card. A small way to bring some joy into your pregnancy journey.
